About us
How we started
Climate is changing, sea-level rises, greenhouse gas emissions need to be reduced. This challenge and the Paris-agreement has formed the basis of our common ambition: Enable Zero Emission Dredging ASAP. To achieve our ambitious goal, we choose for a collaborative approach, initiated by the founding partners of ZEDhub, executed in collaboration with the full value chain and triple helix.
What we do
We create impact by enabling and implementing Zero Emission Dredging. The Energy transition in the Maritime domain is ongoing, but specific topics for dredging are not widely addressed. We tackle those challenges jointly. We develop Knowledge, technology, regulatory frameworks and assure economic viability. Our developments and solutions contribute to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). To guide us in the process, we have developed a clear Transition Roadmap including multiple Projects.
Who are we
ZEDhub is a community consisting of the founding partners and community members. The founding partners are both operators and builders within the dredging sector of the Drecht Cities Region in the Netherlands. We welcome partners on board that are driven to contribute to our journey towards Zero Emission Dredging. The founding partners are Boskalis, Damen, IHC, Van Oord, Dordrecht Academy, Municipality Dordrecht and Deal Drecht Cities. We built an organization consisting of a Work Group, Steering Board and Coordinator
