ZEDhub at Maritime Innovation Platform

At the network and conference event Maritime Innovation Platform, ZEDhub has organized and facilitated an inspiring session on the transition towards Zero Emission Dredging.

Maritime Innovation Platform took place on Tuesday March 28 at the Energiehuis in Dordrecht and was organized by Schuttevaer and NMT, with Smart Delta Drechtsteden as host. During the event, promising solutions and innovations were presented and discussed.

ZEDhub focused on the process and activities related to the transition towards Zero Emission Dredging. Arjen de Jong, coordinator of ZEDhub, hosted the session and provided three speakers the opportunity to present:

  1. Menno van Leeuwen (Damen Shipyards) presented ZEDhub’s story and ambition.
  2. Jan Westhoeve (Van Oord) provided insight in the developments of a Methanol powered solution for dredging vessels
  3. Baldwin Henderson (Rijkswaterstaat) explained how the Dutch Government and major client for dredging works supports the transition towards Zero Emission Dredging
